Dorothy Martin:
Dorothy graduated from one of the most honored universities in America, Mount Holyoke, and earned her doctorate in Literature at the University of Michigan. She has taught literature and the English language at the university level in Korea, and in the Philippines. She now gives private lessons in English here in Albania.
Dorothy also was trained as an opera singer and will help identify children at the Trials who have musical talent. She and Thanas Pascal, pianist for the Tirana Opera, will form a choir of children at the trials who have high musical abilities.

Dr. William Maxwell, graduated first in his class from Carver High School, Phoenix, Arizona, where he was on the tennis and track teams. He graduated in Science Education -- Physical Sciences -- from Oregon State University and earned his master’s and doctoral degrees from Harvard University where he was inducted into the Phi Delta Kappa Honorary Society. He has been dean of schools of education on three continents and while in Fiji at the University of the South Pacific he patented an educational game that promises to raise the IQ’s of children and train them how to be inventive.

Thanas Paskali, graduated from the High School of Music in Tirana and in 1983 he graduated the Academy of Arts, Tirana, majoring in the Piano. In 2002 he earned the Diploma in Conducting; and the Diploma in Composing in 2007. He has given over 100 concerts in Greece and now serves as the pianist for the Tirana Opera.
At the Children’s Trials, Thanas and Dr. Martin will test every child for musical abilities and encourage those with talents in music to pursue the studying of music whether or not the child intends to become a professional musician.
Valbona Paskali, earned in Physical Education at the Academy of Sports, Tirana with specialization in sports medicine. She holds certificates in physical therapy, massage therapy, functional anatomy, kinesiology, and physical therapy for the handicapped.
At the Children’s Trials, Valbona will assist in measuring the children’s basic athletic abilities, serving as the safety and first-aid officer.

Paul Andrus studied art at the Ecole de Beaux-Arts - France, the Royal Academy - Copenhagen, Royal Academy – London, School of Visual Arts – NYC, and Northwestern University - Chicago. He has earned three Masters Degrees in Art.
Paul exhibits internationally in prestigious venues such as the Florence Bienniale, ARTNOW - London, Copenhagen International, London Biennial, the Polish Biennial and the LACD International. Paul recently won three first prizes in drawing at the Copenhagen International. Paul was also on the U.S. Olympic Fencing Team and teaches and coaches fencing.
